Untitled[edit]

'It used to release quality hardcore. Now it just releases pseudo angry, white middle class wannabe emocore. (with the exception of one or two bands)' well that sounds a little biased...

Trustkill Records Discography

This should be removed from the independent record label category as they are a sub label of Sony.

You can't stop the signal Schmoe. You can't stop the signal.

This page is very biased, claims bands are 'genre-defining artists'.Needs to be fixed

...It would be nice to post some positive things about the label as well... Fezmar9 (talk) 19:25, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Bullet For My Valentine[edit]

BFMV released one EP through Trustkill in 2005. Are they still considered to be a part of the label, even though they release everything through the major label they are on now? -hsxeric (talk 13:55, 28 July 2009

The Poison was also released through Trustkill in 2006. The only major album not released by Bullet for My Valentine through Trustkill was their most recent album Scream Aim Fire. The band can still be found on Trustkill's active roster on their website. It should be noted that BFMV was only signed to Trustkill for US distribution, much like how Alexisonfire is signed to Dine Alone Records, but with Vagrant Records for US distribution. Unless a source can be found for Bullet for My Valentine being dropped from Trustkill, or the band is moved from the active roster on their website, this page should still reflect BFMV as part of the label. It is very likely that the band will release some sort of b-sides/rarities or greatest hits compilation down the road through Trustkill. Fezmar9 (talk) 19:09, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for clearing that up. hsxeric (talk 13:23, 14 August 2009

Trustkill Records has announced the signing of San Francisco Bay Area's hardcore act FIRST BLOOD. The band, which features ex-TERROR bassist Carl Schwartz on vocals and current TERROR member Doug Weber on guitar, formed in early 2002 from the ashes of SWORN VENGEANCE, a group of which Carl and Doug were both members. Even without having played many live shows, FIRST BLOOD quickly made a strong impact throughout the modern hardcore scene. The group did their first show sharing the stage with legendary members of the CRO-MAGS (performing as THE AGE OF QUARREL) and made a notable appearance at Hellfest 2003. Having previously released music on Division36 (Bridge 9) Records and Deathwish Inc, FIRST BLOOD impressed many for their brutal delivery, and in-your-face lyrics dealing with both social and political subjects. The band are currently writing and preparing to record their debut full-length to be released on Trustkill Records this spring. They will also embark on their first tour in late February with IGNITE and COMEBACK KID, including both U.S. and Canadian dates.

Schwartz had the following to say regarding their new record deal: 'Josh (Grabelle, Trustkill President) approached me about releasing something on Trustkill. I was psyched as he did such a great job promoting TERROR, but because of my obligations to that band I had to say no. When I recently left TERROR, Josh and I continued our discussion and decided to go full speed ahead and make FIRST BLOOD a full-time endeavor.'

Carl, a main contributor to FIRST BLOOD's lyrics and music alongside guitarist Kyle Dixon (ALCATRAZ, ex-EMBRACE THE END), added: 'Most of my lyrics deal with topics important to me; the ups and downs, frustrations and discontent with certain things in this world. Hopefully people can relate to my words and realize that they are not alone, and become inspired and confident enough to stand for what they believe to find a place for themselves in this world.'

A staunch supporter of veganism, Carl is involved with PETA/PETA2, with an eye-opening video interview appearance on their web site and in promotional DVDs, as well as full-page print appearances in Decibel and Revolver magazines, helping to make kids more aware of the vegan lifestyle. Currently, Carl is developing an international resource for vegans and vegetarians called Vegan411.com, which will be an online directory of veg-friendly restauraunts, grocery/health food stores, recipes, products, and more.
